If you are feeling completely well, whole, on top of things, and self-satisfied, then my congratulations to you. And when you have a moment, please drop me a line and let me know your secret because I sure could use it!
Life is full of stressors and even the good things can stress you out. There is no shame in being human; in not being or feeling your best all the time. Transitions in life can be frustrating, scary, discouraging, and even downright infuriating. If you’re having one of those moments, WELCOME, you are in good company. I think we can all say we’ve been there.
The fast-paced and cluttered world we live in can create chronic stress, anxiety, and depression. We are often overwhelmed by the pressures of life and work, yet we push ourselves beyond capacity and then crash. We deal with injury, trauma and stress like a battle wound and push through, ignoring our body’s signs to slowdown, until it gives in.
If your goal is to calm the chaos, I’m here for you. I’m going to do my darndest to help you feel not so alone and to strategize about how to handle the bits and pieces that aren’t working. You can’t avoid the twists and turns and bumps life throws you, but you can come to a place of dropping the judgement and moving through with as much grace as possible and show up as your best self.
I’m here to empower you to take charge of your body by listening to the messages it is holding. Your body is unique and so is your journey to health and wellness. My approach combines nervous system resiliency ancient Yoga philosophy. I add in Western diagnostics and nutrition. I sprinkle in some exercise and movement. When the nervous system begins to be regulated it is much easier for clients to return to vitality. This is not your typical health coaching. My approach is embodied and intuitive, allowing you to tap into your body’s innate wisdom and combine that with what Western medicine has discovered.
Perfection is not all it's cracked up to be. Part of the process is normalizing it. Being honest about it. Asking for help around it.
Being authentic and vulnerable is essential and it is embedded in everything I do. I draw from my own life experiences and my training to offer a safe and supportive pace with practical strategies and guided techniques. I offer tailored support to help you navigate your journey. You are not alone. We can work together to bring you personal empowerment.
I totally get the fatigue, overwhelm, and lack of support you feel when life transitions happen. My own experience has taught me that no matter how much you strive to put things in place, life makes other plans. I have followed a not-so-linear life path, so much so that I would have friends ask how many hours were in my day because, with all I was doing, they were confident there had to be more than 24. I was always able to keep up and then some, so when I started feeling consistently overwhelmed and unable to control my moods, my weight, and my health, I had to take a good hard look at myself, inventory the number of hours in an actual day, and figure out how to allot them so I could take care of myself otherwise, I knew I would be unable to take care of my loved ones.
I knew all the rules of taking care of myself, having a background in Acupuncture, Ayurvedic Medicine, Nutrition, Massage, Yoga, and mental health, and I was good at helping others take care of themselves; I just had to figure out how to apply all that I knew to my journey. Through talking to friends and being in community, I realized there are so many others like me who are on the struggle bus when they should be gliding on a cloud.
Now, I’m making it my mission to create a safe, nonjudgemental space where women like me can find guidance and encouragement.
